The college started Master of Social Work (M.S.W) 2-year course in 2017, with the perspective of preparing students for practising sensitive social, economic, cultural, demographic and political arenas. Now the department of social work is at the forefront of academic and field innovations and is consistently upgrading its curriculum to make the students meet the vulnerability of social challenges.
The department is well known for its teaching, learning, research and instructional programmes as well as collaborative field action projects. We welcome students from different backgrounds to enrich their personal and professional life from our department.

Objectives:

1. Preparing social work students to be self-reflective and competent professionals in the global environment.
2. Integrating social work knowledge through evidence-based practice strategies for interventions with individuals, families, groups, cultures, organizations and communities.
3. Intervening with current social problems and emerging social work issues by conducting seminars at the national level.
4. Fostering and developing social and economic justice through various programs and services in rural, tribal and urban areas.
5. Promote and facilitate collaborative and individual research opportunities for faculty and student.

 Special Practical Programmes: Orientation Visit, Fieldwork, rural camp, Winter Placement, Study Tour, Block Placement, Project Work, Exposure Visit, Classroom Activity, Club Activity, Observance and Celebrations of National International Days.
