The Department was headed by many noted faculty who were responsible in setting up a museum with rare collections of specimens representing all group of the Animal kingdom.

The museum is one of the best in Bengaluru City. Regular Competitions & Lectures are held to encourage the students and develop self-confidence.  Study tours are arranged regularly to expose the students to their environment & to bond with nature, to create awareness of the research activities in the science field.

Infrastructure: The department has a large spacious laboratory which is well equipped. The departmental library is well stocked to cater to the needs of the students.

Unique features:

Students are taken to different places to create  an interest and awareness of their Surroundings. Students are taken on study tour regularly to help them develop a bond with nature. Industrial visit and visits to research laboratory are organized which ignite interest in research activity.
